I've not packed a box in 4 days now.  I can't go into the living room for any length of time because it's depressing as all get out (is that a Southern term??) with no pictures, pottery, books, etc.  It's hard for me to live in chaos...okay - I always live in chaos, but at least it is chaos surrounded by our own kind of normalcy.   If I pack boxes too early the rest of the house will be depressing.

The air conditioner here is acting up.  David commented he couldn't wait until we move to Menzel (AKA the "Promised Land") where air conditioners work and power bills are low.  I think we're all ready for it.  This in-between time is messy!

I have a new piano student - an adult!  The mom of one of my kids has been wanting to take for some time now.  Today was her first lesson.  Other teachers have warned me that adults tend to get frustrated easily when it comes to learning piano.  She turned to me at one point and exclaimed, "This is so frustrating!  I should be able to do this!"  *sigh*  I asked her why she thought she should be able to do anything right away perfectly that she'd never attempted before.  She just smiled.  I could have told her that she was already playing better than her little boy who has been taking for a year, and it's just her first lesson!  Boys are much harder to teach piano to than girls.  Maybe if I had them wear cleats or chew tobacco as they played...
