music

Dave bought me an iPod.  It's a cute little pink (refurbished so not too expensive) music machine and I'm loving it.  It's already caused him to frown at me once or twice.  Seems like he never really wanted to talk until I put the ear pods in.  You'd have thought he would enjoy the peace and silence! LOL!

I've put some of my CDs on it and have actually purchased 2 singles that I'd been wanting.  But, I've been out of it musically for a while and thought it would be nice to have some sort of review sent to me each day of suggestions to listen to.  I went to the LJ search and looked under the "interests" for music.  Don't know that I've found much, but I did get a giggle out of some of them:

  • Under "Auditory Nerve" I was able to listen to a girl who apparently thinks she can sing.  She can't.

  • There is "Clarinet" for all the clarinet lovers online.  I'm not one.

  • R.E.M.s journal has this entry:
Has anyone run across someone who looks like one of the REM band members? For me, it's a rarity--I think all the members have unique and distinct looks.  There is someone who goes to my church who looks a fair amount like Mike Mills. However it's a lady.

Ummm...that's not exactly what I was looking for.
  • There's also "okgoths" for all the goths in Oklahoma.  I'm not even going to say anything about that one.

So, I guess I'll have to continue to rely on the newer odd sounding music I hear from Sean's CDs that nearly blast the roof off here and ask about the ones that interest me.  He also plays a lot of really old stuff that I remember my older brother listening to when I was a kid.  Some of that is great stuff that I can load onto the iPod.  I'll have to depend on David for the Christian music news.
