GoodSearch & GoodShop

I just found out about two sites that I wish I had known about before now.

GoodSearch is a search engine which donates 50-percent of its revenue to the charities and schools designated by its users. It's a simple and compelling concept. You use GoodSearch exactly as you would any other search engine. Because it's powered by Yahoo!, you get proven search results. The money GoodSearch donates to your cause comes from its advertisers — the users and the organizations do not spend a dime!

With its sister site, every time you click over to one of their partner merchants from the GoodShop site and then make a purchase, your charity or school earns money. The more you shop, the more they make! Add up the money generated from all of your shopping and the shopping done by all of the other people who use GoodShop, and we can make a real difference for many worthy causes.

Just yesterday I ordered flowers for my mother from our usual online florist. Had I known about this, 7% of my purchase amount would have gone to the charity I chose. I have a beautiful 10 year old grand-niece with pediatric lung cancer. St Judes is a part of GoodSearch/GoodShop, as are many other organizations who have been so good to her.

It's worth your time to check it out.
