Life, Strife, Laughter & Waltzes!

My piano students know that I hate waltzes. I make them play them because of the important lessons learned from them musically, artfully and technically. But, in the end, I can't seem to stop myself from rolling my eyes each time a new waltz is introduced. The kids, of course, try to take advantage of this. I can't tell you how many times one has said, "But, Mrs. Bunny! It's a *gag* waltz! We don't like waltzes so let's skip this one!" That's when I turn back into the responsible teacher and explain, yet again, why they have to do the piece.

Sometimes life just throws what seems to be too much in your path. With my mother being hospitalized and brothers wearing their feelings on their sleeves, trying to get the car situation in hand, friends that are under way too much pressure, and a myriad of other situations I take a deep breath and know in my heart of hearts that God has it already planned out for us and I need to stay in His will.

Well, laughter gets me through stressful times. I think a lot of people might see this as my being flippant, but it's really a matter of remaining sane. :o) So, in honor of getting through "screaming Mimi stressful times" I give you The Blue Danube Waltz featuring the lovely Camilla:
