I had a really important and serious blog started about an hour ago. I spent over thirty minutes on that thing, trying to word it just right. Got out this really deep thinking book David gave me for Christmas last year and typed up a quote from it. The subject matter? Stress. Guess what. MY COMPUTER LOCKED UP!!!! Sorry about the yelling, but you see, we are all a bit stressed around here. All three of us. Wednesdays are always worse for us.

I thought I'd be all pastor-wife spiritual, but I guess the Lord showed me. "Zap! I'm locking this baby up! No blog for you!" Okay - I'm just kidding...about the Lord zapping me...I think.

On to lighter topics.

One of my favorite blogs is GoTo Free Stuff. On any given day our mailman brings free goodies ranging from shampoo to granola bars. I told David I could have sent off for a free white cane today but I would've had to have lied and told them I was blind. For some reason he found that funny. He knows I don't lie.

My mom called today during a piano lesson and I couldn't talk with her. I explained that I was in the middle of teaching a little scalawag to play piano. She would absolutely get that. But, the kid nor his very European mom knew what a scalawag was. What a great word to teach someone. She may have wished it hadn't pertained to her son, though.

I had another student bring in a plastic bag from WalMart filled with her collections of sea shells, nickels, Haitian coins, petrified wood, rocks, and a few new drawings to boot! I spent 10 minutes of her lesson time letting her show me all her cool stuff. Not sure how her mom would feel about that, but it made the child happy and that made me happy.

I called my mother back and she's making great progress with her physical therapy. Yay!
