I teach piano to a tiny petite beautiful little girl with long blonde hair that just turns a curl at the ends and eyes as big and blue as all outdoors. She is so tiny that when I showed her how to use the damper pedal for the first time today she had to nearly stand up in order to reach it. Amy is smart, polite, and very talkative. Today she came in and I asked her how her day went. Her brother ran to the piano and said quite excitedly, "Amy got a black mark in school today!!" Now, Amy is only in kindergarten and her parents have raised the children to be courteous and polite. So, I asked her what happened. She said, "I wasn't paying attention. But, you know? A person can learn from stuff like this!" Yes, Amy, live and learn!
We head to Macon tomorrow for what promises to be the start of a busy weekend. We're taking Henley with us and it should be much better now that we have the Element. He loves to travel but it's not the easiest thing to have a dog in someone else's home. Not everyone loves dogs like we do. Couple that with the dog being a very large Great Dane and, well, you either love him or tolerate him. My parents tolerate Henley. I've not told them we're coming yet. Guess I'd better call and warn my dad that Henley is about to visit.
David's birthday is Sunday. He'll be older than me. Ha! He's ALWAYS older than me!
