Interesting Crosswalk article about a man who taught a boy's Bible study class using 7 scary Bible stories instead of his regular curriculum during one October several years ago. The article quotes:

It was a big hit in that it didn't focus on the meaning of Halloween or whether we as Christians should celebrate it. Rather, it just provided another way to get the young lads excited about the Scriptures...

One person has already commented about not using Scriptures to instill fear and discourages readers from using the Bible for entertainment purposes. I don't know. I kind of think that anything that will get a kid to open his Bible with interest might just well be worth it.
