Talked with my mom tonight before church. She sounded stronger. Thank you all for your continued prayers!

Wed. nights are crazy busy at New Hope. Unlike the majority of churches our praise team is made up mostly of kids. We have a few teens and adults, but for the most part - kids. When you put 16-20 kids in a room and add microphones, guitars, drum, flute, and keyboard...well, if it ain't chaos then it must be praise!

New Hope loves these kids, too. I've never ever been in a church that so readily accepted children actively taking part in worship like this church. At the end of Call Upon His Name we usually have 10 yr old (very soon to be 11!) Kira sing the very last part solo. It's incredibly effective to have her sweet child voice gently singing "Come and drink again, be filled with living water..." But, Kira won't be here Sunday because her birthday party is a big one this year with overnight guests in a hotel on the beach. That's one of the perks of living in paradise! So, without warning, I pulled little Celeste who may be 7 yrs old and told her to take the mic and go for it! Now, Celeste is a quiet little girl and has only been singing with the Praise Team for maybe 3 weeks. But, she took that microphone and sang so sweetly that she had 3 of us in tears. New Hope is blessed...blessed with a Savior Who so loves His little children.
