The short visits to Macon and having a camera in my cell phone have given me the opportunity to record those moments. Our oldest son, Adam, hates having his picture taken, but he's been very good to me lately and endures all my "smile!" commands.

The 6 hour drive is excruciatingly long. I'm always stressed by my mom and dad's condition and not being able to be with them longer. David is the most awesome husband in that he never complains and is more than willing to go the extra mile to make sure whatever needs to be done, gets done. This visit was especially hard for him in that he was able to go back to his childhood home. The house has been broken into several times, ransacked and what was left is now in complete disarray. He and Adam went by and found precious old family photos in piles of trash around the inside of the house. So sad.
