Spiritual Gifts

If you've been a fairly regular attender of any protestant church it's almost guaranteed you've taken a spiritual gifts inventory.

About one-fifth (21 percent) of respondents who said they have heard of spiritual gifts claimed to have gifts such as a sense of humor, singing, health, life, happiness, patience, a job, a house, compromise, premonition, creativity, and clairvoyance – ones that are not among those deemed to be spiritual gifts in the passages of Scripture that teach about gifts, according to a Barna Group report released Monday.

If you were to ask David (or me, or Adam, or Sean) we'd all say that Dave's spiritual gift is sleeping. He's awesomely gifted at being able to fall asleep anytime anywhere. I still laugh at the boys coming home from their fancy schmancy private school complaining that when they came out to the car to go home their dad was sleeping, head back and in full snore-mode, in front of God and everybody (their friends).

I know - I'm in one, too, wishing I had your gift!!!
