Wax Museums - I love 'em!

I've always loved wax museums. As a kid my parents took me and my cousin to one while vacationing. While they were upstairs viewing the historic figures, we were downstairs in the chamber of horrors. I remember it like it was yesterday. A father with his two young sons, then me, followed by my cousin were walking through the narrow hallways, with walls created to look like a cave to the point of them even feeling damp.

It was campy horrific fun...until the electricity went out and we were cast into pitch cannot-see-your-hand-in-front-of-your-face darkness. I was maybe 14 yrs old and my cousin started screaming her head off and nearly climbing up my back, while the little boy in front of me jumped into my arms.

All the chaos was bad enough - I mean the father of the boys couldn't even get his voice out over all the screaming of his sons and my cousin. Next thing we know, we see a light coming. The only thing was, and I swear this is true, the light was coming from a torch. I mean a fire-lit torch. Now, put yourself in our shoes and tell me how this would affect you. You're in a pitch black cave with wax figures of vampires and Bluebeard and you see a figure coming toward you with a torch.

Anywho - all that was to segue to this video. Our President and First Lady now have wax figures at Madame Tussauds in Washington DC.
