Clothes make the man?

J-Walk blog features a post on the hoopla of the Pope wearing his shoes while in a mosque. I can see where the controversy lies, but that's not what really interested me. Take a look at these papal shoes!

I mean, come on - that's quite a spiffy pair of shoes he's wearing. There was even an article on whether or not the Pope wears Prada. The Vatican nixed that one, but I wonder.

The Osservatore Romano emphasized that Benedict was not a man who fusses over fashion. It concluded: "The Pope does not wear Prada, but Christ.

My favorite has always been the guard's uniform.

We Protestants just don't have the cool fashions. But, at least we've given up the choir robes!
