Cool story from ABC News here entitled "Ex-Marine Kills 300-Pound Bear With Log" about a father who kills a bear to protect his 3 children while camping in a GA campsite. Yet another reason humans should stay in hotels and condos and not in tents. Anyway, the best part of the story came in the comments:
Please note that refering to a FORMER Marine as an ex-Marine is an insult. Lee Harvey Oswald is an ex-Marine. This man is a former Marine. The press should know better--where was the editor on this one?As for some of the other comments, the boy threw something because he was 6. Six year olds, do 6 year old stuff. The dad is a true hero. The equation is simple, bear vs sons. Bear is dead. Mission accomplished! Semper Fi.
