A Flicker of Hope

This is my very good friend, Missy with her family. She's one of the uber coolest women I know. She's a pretty amazing mom to four spicy kids (I call them that because they're so full of life) and wife to American serviceman, Kevin. All together they make for one great family.

Missy has a special place in her heart for Africa. Their Levi was born in Liberia so it's a natural fit for a portion of her heart to be there. She has a candle making business, run from her home, with the proceeds going to various ministries for orphans, adoptions, and clean water for those without.

We take so much for granted and I've learned that even "the least of these" whether it be little girls making crafts on Wednesday nights or big girls, like Missy, making candles, can make a difference. Bookmark Missy's A Flicker of Hope blog. Go ahead and contact her to place an order to get started on Christmas shopping. You'll have some really great quality soy based candles that smell incredible, but more than that, you'll be putting food in an orphans mouth, giving clean water to a village without, and helping prospective parents find and bring home their own little boy or girl.

Go on - do it now - shop. You'll have a gift out of the way and have been Christ's hands here on earth for a sweet little child in need...the least of these.
