What level am I?

Ian Thomas Anderson is one of my favorite kids. I've known him since he was in diapers (he'd love me saying that- not!) and now he's entering into that awkward voice-changing growing before your eyes stage of life.

While at a piano lesson recently he turned to me and asked, "Mrs. Bunny, what level would you say I am?" Since he and I often talk spiritually my answer to him was, "Sweet boy, God doesn't look at us as levels. He looks straight to our hearts." The rest of the conversation went like this:

Ian: No, I mean, am I a bass?

Me: Oh, you mean what voice are you? No, I'd say you were between a tenor and (before I could finish)

Ian: Alto?

Me: No, alto is a girl's part.

Ian: A saxophone?

I love kids!
