I could never say it better. Go here to read a fitting tribute to an awesome companion.

Precious friends, we understand your loss for we had to let our Bentley go several years ago. It hurt deeply! Henley was a member of your family, a treasured gift, a comforting friend, and a loving companion. He will always have a place in your hearts.
my heart breaks for you, I wish i could state how I feel as well as David writes, his words are a mirror of what I want to say but seem to never find the words.....know how much I care and love you guys Pam
Hi Bunny, I'm sorry my comment was not meant to hurt you at all, and he does look like a very happy dog (despite the long face).
If your now looking for another dog please consider getting him/her from an k9 rescue centre. Along with religion one of my pet hates is dog breeders who use animals purely as a commodity to be bought and sold for profit.

Hi Bunny
I was sorry to read about your loss, and my posting may seem a little unfeeling but here goes:
Here's a good video I found on YouTube about religion, you might like to view it and see what you think.
”God in my life”
I think it makes a lot of good common sense don't you?

I'm sure there'a a doggy heaven anyway.
Hi Chris,
You're right...it does seem a little unfeeling.

This is an animal welfare blog, totally unconnected to my usual anti religious comments.
”Animal welfare”
Try not to be too down about Henley's death, try to remember what a great life he had. I'm sorry I didn't get to pat him myself.
Keep well
