Every Monday night he comes for supper. I'm not quite sure how this all started, but he's really good about letting me know if he can't make it. He told Sean yesterday at church he'd be here tonight and then he came by the house this afternoon to let us know he'd be here for sure.
By 5:30 Allan hadn't shown up. Around 5:45 the doorbell rang and as I opened it he sounded as if he was crying. He kept saying, "I'm sorry, Bunny! I'm sorry I'm late! I'm sorry!" He repeated it over and over even though David and I kept telling him it was okay. It was so troubling to have this young man in tears.
We finally got him calmed down and he became his old self at dinner rambling on about football and racing (his two favorite subjects). Allan should never have reason to lose his smile.
