Special indeed...

On any given Wednesday night things can go smoothly or they can be nuts. Then there are those evenings where it's a mix of the two. I think that pretty much sums up tonight. The good thing is that the little girls never once realized it.

Harriet was awesome, having everything prepared and she took her girls in hand and had them sewing up a breeze making backpacks that will benefit Love 146. She had Gabbie who has never really sewn but desperately wanted to. I love Pam & Harriet's hearts here. They are so willing to show even the youngest girl how to work a sewing machine. Their patience just plain out shines.

Mary is perfection when it comes to taking a task and making sure it's taken care of. If it's in the details, Mary is all over it. She took care of that tonight with no problems at all.

I had six little girls with not much to do. So, I sang with them. I sat with them around me and talked with them about freedom and how God is there with us every step of the way in our lives. I tried to tell them that whenever they felt pulled away from Him that they should remember the great and mighty love God has for them. And I taught them this song:

I gave Kira my Bible and asked her to find the Scripture about a tree planted by the water. She read from Psalm 1 and we sang again. And again. And again.

Point of the story: One little girl - sweetest child on earth - could not sing on key. She has this very high little voice that is just off. I asked Kira to help her sing a second soprano part (I know - this may be too much info, but stick with me here). It still wasn't perfect, but, as this child left she ran up to me and said, "Mrs Bunny, I never felt so special as I did tonight. I didn't know I could sing a different part!"

Yes, sweet child. You are special indeed. You are His. I pray you'll discover more and more about His great love for you as time passes.
