One of the joys of teaching piano while belonging to such an incredibly loving church is being able to have my students play during offertory. We were blessed with having Ian play today. He came up to the piano and clasped his hands and bowed his head during the offertory prayer. I leaned over and whispered to him, "Ian, you may have to play through the song twice." With the most serious look ever to come from a boy, he looked at me and said, "You're kidding me!" I almost lost it and had to quickly stifle my laughter. He played "When the Saints Go Marching In" beautifully.
