We shopped and everything on the list was exactly where it said it would be in the store. The prices were for the most part spot on. There were a few items that were higher, but it was only a nickle of so, nothing outrageously different.
I cooked both seafood meals first because I wasn't sure/comfortable about re-freezing shrimp and catfish. Last night's Shrimp Creole was restaurant delicious. Tonight's Rancho Catfish was really good. I'm a catfish girl anyway, but even David said, "This is really good! The salsa makes a big difference." I, of course, didn't put the salsa on mine, but chose straight lemon juice - it was really good and so easy to prepare.
The rest of the meals include London Broil, Chicken & Mushrooms over Linguine, Loaded Nachos, Chicken Cordon Bleu, and Blueberry Pancakes! The total cost for purchasing items for the 7 meals was less than $80. And, that includes sides. Yep - less than $80 for 7 meals that feed 4 people. Again, I get nothing from this - the e-mealz people have no idea who I am, but I am really happy I happened upon them when doing a web search for this week's shopping.
So, a review of e-mealz shows:
- pre-planned menus for your local store of choice based on sale ads.
- shopping list
- easy recipes
I get nothing from posting this. If you decide to give it a try, use the coupon code "Dave" and you'll get a discount. Even without the discount, it's worth it to me not to have to search/trudge through recipes before I go grocery shopping.
