Joy

One of the joys of teaching piano is having a student play for others. One of the joys of belonging to a grace-filled church is said church not only allowing, but loving having my students play for the offertory time. Look at this sweet very "picture of concentration" girl:

Jessica is one very talented little pianist!

Awww - Sweet. That takes me back in time to when my girls were little & taking lessons/performing recitals. Such concentration that I feared they might forget to breathe! :)

I actually have students who forget to breathe when they first start taking lessons! I have an "open" studio policy so parents are welcomed to stay during the lesson if it doesn't both their child. I can't tell you how many parents get tickled when they hear me tell their son/daughter, "Breathe! Breathe!" You'll hear an actual intake of air from the child followed by a lot of giggling from both child and parent.
