Years ago, when our sons were in elementary school, I used to bake sugar cookies and ice them. I mean all out decorated sugar cookies. They were not the beautiful royal icing kind but the boys (and all their schoolmates) loved them.
My latest "blog binge" is any blog that concerns uber lovely decorated sugar cookies. The Sweet Adventures of Sugarbelle is my favorite of all the cookie blogs I subscribe to. Her work is impeccable and artful and fun and yummy.
Today's blog post was a bit different than anything I've ever read of hers and I wanted to share. I think it hit home with me because of my latest effort at making my decorated Christmas palm tree cookies - a true fiasco to the point that I screamed once and grabbed the trash can and threw every bit of it away. I'm still blaming it all on hormones although I'm beginning to think I'm becoming a shrew...only time will tell.
