Child With Cerebral Palsy Removed From Worship Service

The mother of Jackson Helms, 12, said her son was removed from Elevation Church for being a “distraction” during their Easter service on April 24. Jesse has Cerebral Palsy. Click here to view the video news report.

According to their website Elevation Church has 8,000+ in attendance each week. Pastor, Steve Furtick says, "Come just as you are..." - Jesse came and was removed. It's good to hear that Furtick and staff are working towards learning how to deal with such "distractions." It's just a shame that the church couldn't have done the simple thing - the Christ-like thing:

Luke 18:15-17
15 One day some parents brought their little children to Jesus so He could touch and bless them. But when the disciples saw this, they scolded the parents for bothering Him.
16 Then Jesus called for the children and said to the disciples, “Let the children come to Me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children. 17 I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.”
