Biblical Exposition

Sound Bible exposition is an imperative must in the Church of the Living God. Without it no church can be a New Testament church in any strict meaning of that term. But exposition may be carried on in such way as to leave the hearers devoid of any true spiritual nourishment whatever. For it is not mere words that nourish the soul, but God Himself, and unless and until the hearers find God in personal experience they are not the better for having heard the truth. The Bible is not an end in itself, but a means to bring men to an intimate and satisfying knowledge of God, that they may enter into Him, that they may delight in His presence, may taste and know the inner sweetness of the very God Himself in the core and center of their hearts. ~ AW Tozer

ugh!!!

I seriously hate posting anything from any political site. I understand fully that Jesus was a politically charged Man while on earth (and probably even more so now), but still I think that politics separate people to the point that if even one person fails to know Who Jesus is, then it's all for naught. So, it's with mixed emotions that I post this link. Sherri Shepherd (bless her heart) is sweet and lovely, but sometimes she comes across as leaving her brain at the door. If you put someone like that with Bill Maher who has a prearranged agenda to announce to the world that - IN HIS HEART - there is no God, then trouble arises.

I know I'm mixing things up here, but in the words of John Lennon (and yes, I understand that many see him to be an unbeliever, but I'm hanging to his childhood beliefs because I can't stand the thought of not meeting such a great talent when I go to Heaven):

I'm tired of people who seem so erudite because of their vocabulary or because of their position. Baalam's ass spoke with clarity, so I suppose Bill Maher can, too. But, egad! Have some respect! A psyche ward, because she believes differently? Maher is a fearful man, afraid of what might happen if he were to open his heart.

Just gimme some truth!
