I don't clean out my email "sent" files very often. Tonight I thought I'd do that and have found myself going through incredibly sad and telling emails about Mama's illness. What all started out as a seemingly small thing turned into a terrible story ending with losing her. There are so many clues that if only... It kills me to read them and relive it all. So many small steps could have had things turn out so differently.
Everyone says it will get easier with time. They're wrong.

It's all so sad. Except for the certainty of seeing her again - how could anyone cope? You and your mom had the best relationship, and you will have it again.
