Sine Wave - way too early

I'm cking Facebook this morning while drinking my first cup of coffee. Chris posts this as his status:

Chris...is at the acme of his mood swing sine wave. I love everyone.

I'm no mathematician by any stretch of the imagination, but isn't "sine wave" one of those cursed math phrases? Ugh! What a way to start my morning - face to face with math!
