Teaching piano can be the most pleasant of jobs at times.  I had a new student today, a little boy.  He's very precocious and worldly.  His mom is a flight attendant (or maybe used to be??) and they've traveled the world.  This little 9 yr old boy has told me of exhibits in some cathedral in Italy that I can only hope to see in my dreams.  His mom spoke some foreign language that I didn't recognize and the child turned to me and said, "Thank you for the lesson!  I'll see you next week."

Another student, Emily (AKA - Emmaline) not only gives me joy through piano, but with her beautiful voice.  Her dad allows me to spend piano lesson time helping her learn songs to sing, too.  Emily has wanted to sing an old song I'd introduced to the girls years ago entitled How Beautiful.  The song was originally recorded by Twila Paris who is known for her lovely voice and song writing talents.  I finally bought the CD with the original performance track for Emily.  She got to try it out today.  Wow.  How such a big voice can come from such a young girl is amazing.  When you hear her sing you know what "God-given" talent is.

She called her pal EJ to join her and together they worked on another beautiful song, Ashes For Beauty.  EJ comes in with some incredible background singing and I know that all of New Hope is going to be blown away when they hear it.  The best part?  God will be smiling, so pleased at His children.
