I'm deep in the middle of preparing a Christmas Music Service for New Hope. We've had an overwhelming response from kids, teens, and adults either willing to sing or help in the planning. I'm so grateful! We'll have traditional Christmas music along with some newer very meaningful selections. It hit me a few weeks ago that I needed to have at least one song that featured New Hope's youngest singers. I chose the old Christmas classic C.H.R.I.S.T.M.A.S for them since it has solo parts. I asked Joe Stoy to see if any of his RAs were willing to take part. Tonight I got to hear some of the sweetest off-key singing ever! Madelyn sings on key for part of her solo and the sweet little lisp makes the off-key part too sweet! Kira sings her part perfectly for an 8 yr old, but she's an old hand at singing before the church now. After all, she's been doing it since she was 7! Haylee's sweet smile makes her part cute as can be. I even have two little boys singing! Andrew is nearly tone-deaf, but boy he gives it all he's got and he's darned proud of himself. Ian even added an added octave note to his ending. They're so very sweet. God has blessed me with these little ones of His!
