Y'all know I love a person with a quick funny wit. I also like to pretend I love to cook, but 9 times out of 10 I end up screaming every single time I prepare a meal. I'm going to blame it on being hormonal but then, I blame most everything on being hormonal. Back to this post... I subscribe to 3 or 4 recipe blogs, most of which deal with healthy cooking like cookies and cakes.
My very favorite actual food recipe blog has to be The Pioneer Woman Cooks. Not only are her recipes great (I hate going to the trouble of...uh, I mean creating a delicious meal) but her commentary is always hilarious witty fun. Today she posted a recipe for "Delicious Baked Acorn Squash" which I'll probably not try because I was brought up in Georgia and if it's not that yellow crook-necked squash cooked with onions and butter I'm afraid of it. But, check this recipe out if only for the commentary within the preparation instructions (you can skim past the longish introduction part if you want). She's a hoot!
