Henley update

Henley slept pretty well last night with David laying right beside him on the floor. He seems to be a bit calmer - I think he kept being anxious off and on when he got home yesterday in fear we were going to leave him.

The set up we have is:
  • plastic shower curtain
  • blanket
  • blanket
  • incontinent pad (2 or 3) beneath him
He has sat up several times and done the "Henley Pivot" where he'll change positions by pivoting around on his butt and then lying down. I more fully understand how hard it must have been for the vet's staff to care for him if only because of his size.

He is still the sweet Hen we all love so much - his eyes are bright and he's very alert. He just has to be able to stand. Keep praying!!

Oh...poor Henley. But your update is encouraging! He must be SO happy to be home! I keep checking your updates & even my hubby keeps asking about Henley. Praying.

Thank you so much for praying!! Dave just took Henley's temp and it's down to 101.5 which is pretty normal for a dog. It was 103 yesterday when he left the vet. I fixed him some chicken & rice and he ate some of that, too. First real nourishment he's had since Wednesday. Now, if we can get him to stand and walk. Again - I so appreciate your lifting him up to the Father!
