Life transitions are not always embraced; such has been the case with my aging parents. Issues with my brothers and our living 6 hours away has added to the frustration here. My faith sustains me completely, but there are still the moments of fear for my mother, especially, that creep in and bring me to my knees in prayer.

I manage an email newsletter for Larry & Linda Taylor, IMB missionaries to Nigeria. There are close to 400 people on the list that receive it. Linda sent me a newsletter to get out for her Monday and while answering a question for her via email, I mentioned the situation with my mother and daddy. She and Larry had just gone through similar experiences while on furlough here in the states with both their parents. Her response to me was one of understanding completely. I awoke this morning to find another newsletter awaiting to be sent. After updates of their ministry in Nigeria she included a paragraph asking that large number of people to pray for my parents and family. I cannot begin to say what that meant to me.
